| Mattresses with Bonnell insert feature the so called progressive elasticity. System of springs connected with each other by wire creates surface elasticity, i.e. a relatively small pressure causes an insignificant resistance of springs. More pressure implies an increased displacement force. The advantage of this kind of construction is the fact, that it can be used for different body weights.
On demand they can be used in orthopedic mattresses, through zones of hardness. Bonnell springs are manufactured by Chrupex company in standard heights of 8 - 12 cm.
